One freakin' Word

Gr!

Why is it only the end of first term instead of fourth?

Why are college applications so long and tedious?

Why is my internet connection so moody?

Why doesn't he talk to me more?

Why is it getting so cold?

Gr!

Dating

On my sixteenth birthday I was way excited because that would mean I get to date. I could hardly wait because dating looked like so much fun from what I had seen from my older brothers. Well I turned sixteen and nothing...nothing happened. No boys were lining up outside my door to take me out. In fact people didn't believe I was sixteen. They thought I was twelve. Ouch!

What bothers me is that boys really don't ask on dates here in Utah. Yeah they ask to dances but not really outside of dances. And if they do ask outside of dances it is with their best friends. Yes dates with your best friends are fun but the whole point of a date is to get to know someone. You already know your best friend, that is why they are your best friend. What bothers me is that I moved in three years ago so I don't have tons of guy friends. Where I use to live people would ask each other on dates even though they were just acquaintences. What happened to that?

Another thing is that because guys don't ask, girls start asking guys on dates. I honestly think it is the guy's duty to ask girls on dates, called me old-fashioned but that is what I believe. I get that girls and guys should be equal blah, blah, blah but it isn't that hard to ask a girl on a date. And you do not have to do it in a big way. I prefer being asked on a date face-to-face. That way you can get the answer right away and you know exactly who you are going out with. But because girls are asking guys on dates they don't feel the need to ask. See what is happening here?

Anyway that is my rant and if you don't like it then don't read it.

Simplicity

You have a direct order to simplify your life. Life is suppose to be fun and simple but too many of us, myself included, take those simple things and make them way more complicated than they should be. STOP IT! Leave it alone and just let it be and let it happen. The best things in life are the simplest.

Happy

A song that I like is called "Happy" by Leona Lewis so here are the lyrics and I hope you like it.

Someone once told me that you have to choose  What you win or lose, you can't have everything  Don't you take chances, you might feel the pain  Don't you love in vain 'cause love won't set you free  I could stand by the side and watch this life pass me by So unhappy, but safe as could be

So what if it hurts me? So what if I break down? So what if this world just throws me off the edge My feet run out of ground?

I gotta find my place, I wanna hear my sound
Don't care about all the pain in front of me 'Cause I'm just trying to be happy, ya Just wanna be happy, ya

Holding on tightly, just can't let it go Just trying to play my role, slowly disappear, oh But all these days, they feel like they're the same Just different faces, different names, get me out of here
But I can't stand by your side, oh no And watch this life pass me by, pass me by

So what if it hurts me? So what if I break down?
So what if this world just throws me off the edge My feet run out of ground?

I gotta find my place, I wanna hear my sound Don't care about all the pain in front of me 'Cause I'm just trying to be happy, oh, happy, oh

So any turns that I can't see Like I'm a stranger on this road But don't say victim, don't say anything

So what if it hurts me? So what if I break down? So what if this world just throws me off the edge
My feet run out of ground?

I gotta find my place, I wanna hear my sound Don't care about all the pain in front of me I just wanna be happy, oh, yeah, happy, oh, happy I just wanna be, oh, I just wanna be happy Oh, happy

Childhood Dreams and Death

All of us had dreams when we were younger. Whether it was to be an astronaut, firefighter, a princess or a doctor. We all had those dreams. But somewhere along the way in life those dreams faded and we were hit with reality and it made us have to work hard. We forgot our dreams and then we are stuck in a boring job that isn't our dream. Why?

Then we are told we are going to die. Everything changes then. We decide then and there to get rid of realities cold hard grip on us and we decide to follow our dreams. Why is it that death has to be staring us in the face for us to want to follow our dreams again? Why don't we want them now when death is far away? Instead of waiting till death tries to take us, let's put our fears behind us and go back on that path that leads to our childhood dreams.

"Tony Stark: We gotta go. Come on, move with me. We got a plan, and we're going to stick to it.
Yinsen: This was always the plan, Stark...
Tony Stark: Come on, you're going to go see your family. Get up.
Yinsen: My family is dead, Stark... and I'm going to see them now. It's okay, I want this... I want this.
[Stark is silent for a moment]
Tony Stark: Thank you for saving me.
Yinsen: Don't waste it... don't waste your life, Stark.

Airplanes

So I was on an airplane recently and has it ever amazed you how they can fly? I mean they are huge but they can still lift you, the plane and everyone else on it into the sky for long periods of time. If you think about it we use to have just horse and carriages. Now we are flying to places. Really blows the mind.
